About the Role
As a Global Leader in material handling automation, Daifuku continues to experience rapid growth.

The current opportunity is for an experienced Mechanical Technician to be part of our team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on our material handling System (MHS).

Working on a rostered shift basis and as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure that materials handling system and other onsite infrastructure is operational, and issues are rectified safely, quickly and efficiently.
  • Performing diagnostic tests on the material handling systems.
  • Following the mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform the necessary repairs to restore to full functionality.
  • Support the clearance of fault and materials jams.
  • Utilise the maintenance schedule using our onsite Computerised Maintenance Management System (MEX).
  • Record keeping in support of Materials Handling Systems activities.

About you
You'll be looking to join a team that is invested in your success and your future. Your qualifications and experience will include

  • To contribute to your success, you will have:
  • Trade qualification in mechanical or related industry is essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience in mechanical drives, including gearboxes, conveyor belting.
  • Experience in pneumatics and Hydraulics including Solenoid Valves, cylinders and flow regulators.
  • Sound technical understanding of automated control systems in a Materials Handling Systems (MHS) or highspeed processing environment.
  • Have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift (Mon
  • Fri) 40 hours per week.
