As a
Support Work Coordinator, you will provide the effective leadership, supervision, day-to-day direction, and operational management of a team of Support Workers that results in responsive service provision and quality outcomes for NDIS clients in the community.

This full-time opportunity is based in our Kent Town Head Office.


In this role, you will guide Support Workers in the provision of person-centred services which enable wellbeing, independence, and opportunity for clients through the development, delivery and review of individualised support that enables sustainable independence and wellbeing in all areas of their lives.


You will enable Support Workers to build individual client capacity and stability through social skills and community participation, day-to-day living skills, vocational skills and goals, maintaining physical wellbeing and building broader life skills.

Reporting to the Disability Services Manager, the day-to-day activities of this role will include:


  • Overseeing and being responsible for the quality of the NDIS Support Work service
  • Providing employee support and leadership to meet KPIs
  • Supervising and monitoring operation/information systems (including rosters) and identifying organisational requirements including risk management and compliance
  • Sourcing referrals through the development of effective local networks and relationships with disability service and other providers.
  • Providing highlevel operational advice and practical support to employees and acting as a point of escalation for team members to help resolve issues
  • Monitoring and evaluating individualised participant support and service delivery to ensure ongoing effectiveness
  • Identifying and developing ongoing relationships with community and service networks to facilitate collaborative partnerships
  • Ensuring services are provided within the scope of NDIS funding and NDIS Quality and Practice standards

About You

  • An indepth understanding and working knowledge of the NDIS, and experience of working within the NDIS Operational Guidelines, Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguarding Framework
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisor and service coordinator role
  • Experience in building effective and respectful relationships, and engaging and supporting people living with disability, mental illhealth, or psychosocial disability in the codesign of services
  • Ability to achieve negotiated outcomes and KPIs with mínimal supervision and direction
  • The ability to conduct client intake assessments, support planning and reviews
  • Experience in building and fostering effective internal & external networks, corporate relationships, and working collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills with welldeveloped interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Selfmotivation and initiative, with welldeveloped time management and organisational skills, the ability to meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks & priorities

For this role you will need:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in disability, mental health, and/or equivalent relevant qualification
  • To hold and maintain an approved First Aid Certificate and CPR certificate
  • Possession of a current valid Driver's licence and willingness to drive
  • Possession of NDIS and Working with Children checks


Where a motor vehicle allowance is provided for the use of the employee's personal vehicle for work purposes, the employee's vehicle used must have a safety rating of 4 or 5-star ANCAP or EURO-NCAP to be used for SYC business purposes.
