We have an exciting opportunity in the Clinical Engagement Division within the Clinical Engagement and Patient Safety directorate for a Clinical Engagement Manager.


Reporting into the Clinical Usability Specialist you will be part of the Engagement team responsible for optimising patient care through actively engaging clinicians in digital healthcare.

Our vision is to equip NSW Health clinicians with the knowledge and skills they need to optimise use of clinical digital systems in the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Working closely with clinicians (including medical, nursing, pharmacy, allied health), senior clinical digital health leaders, digital health experts and other key stakeholders, Clinical Engagement Manager will manage ongoing clinical partnerships and relationships across NSW, to support the Clinical Engagement & Patient Safety (CEPS) Directorate and to underpin the eHealth Strategy for NSW Health The role is also responsible for managing and coordinating the activities associated with digital health clinical governance and the ongoing development of the team in striving to deliver excellence in the customer and clinician experience.


What you will do
As an integral member of the Clinical Engagement Division, you will:

  • Provide expert, strategic advice, guidance and support to the Clinical Engagement/Usability Specialist and the Director, Clinical Engagement, CEPS, senior clinicians and other key stakeholders to ensure the design, development and implementation of high-quality, innovative partnership and relationship management strategies, systems and processes.
  • Manage and deliver clinical engagement activities in consultation with key stakeholders, including, planning and executing engagement activities, forums, events, communications, governance and surveys.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff and effectively manage operational issues to ensure continuous effective service delivery and a performance based, innovative, responsive and accountable customer and clinical focused work culture.
  • Monitor and conduct reviews to evaluate the progress of partnership strategies and to ensure clinicians are satisfied with clinical engagement services and identify and advise the CEPS team of opportunities for future digital health initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to foster collaboration, leverage expertise and maximise opportunities with key clinical stakeholders, through excellence in clinical relationship management to ensure the delivery of desired systemwide outcomes

About you
The skills, knowledge and experience we are looking for in you are:

  • Extensive experience working in a clinical environment and interested in becoming part of a dedicated team of experts passionate about empowering clinicians to unlock the potential of digital healthcare.
  • Extensive experience in managing customer relationships, the ability to engage with a wide range of clinical stakeholders, build positive and successful working relationships to ensure strong clinical engagement and a commitment to optimising patient care through actively engaging clinicians in digital healthcare.
  • Significant working knowledge and experience in digital health solutions, the ability to translate clinical requirements and Information Technology concepts, experience in change management, governance and customer relationship management and an interest in leading the next phase to strengthen clinical engagement in the broader work of eHealth NSW to enable excellence in
