Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is a city and state-shaping project that will transform Victoria's public transport system, connecting our suburbs and creating opportunities in great places.

The 90-kilometre Loop will link every major rail line from the Frankston line to the Werribee line, via Melbourne Airport, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other.

Beyond the rail infrastructure and cross-suburb travel connections, over time SRL will reshape Melbourne from a city centred around a single CBD to a 'city of centres' - attracting more businesses and people to the broader station areas and creating more jobs in Melbourne's middle suburbs closer to where people live.

Local initiatives will include new and improved open and public space, tree planting, more walking and cycling paths, retail and hospitality areas and plazas.

About the opportunity

The Package Interface Manager is a senior technical and project management role responsible for leading the development and delivery of commercial and technical interfaces on one or more of the Suburban Rail Loop work packages, which enables their effective delivery and integration as part of the SRL project.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining effective and influential relationships across a wide array of internal and external stakeholders across our project delivery organisation and delivery partners, who work together to manage commercial and technical interfaces and all associated interface risks on main works packages, including the identification, development and delivery of interface solutions that are jointly agreed between interfacing parties, as well as managing and coordinating information exchange and change management between main works packages.

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Commercial and Technical Interface, the Package Interface Manager works collaboratively with all SRLA package delivery teams, their delivery partners, as well as SRLA functional teams to oversee the implementation of SRLA's Interface Management Framework, to effectively manage commercial and technical interfaces involving work packages and external third parties from development through to successful delivery and handover.

You will have a Project Management or Engineering qualification, or related discipline, with experience working within large scale infrastructure projects.

You will enjoy a fast paced, performance focused workplace where you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and develop your career.
