Company:Ventia- Gold Coast Infrastructure Solutions (GCIS) is a Joint Venture between Ventia and Downer that has been awarded a 10-year contract to deliver water and wastewater repairs, maintenance services, and renewals project works for the City of Gold Coast.

About the role

The team have an opportunity for a Supervisor to join the team in a fulltime, permanent capacity. This role will be based at our Arundel depot as well as site visits throughout the Gold Coast. We will offer the successful applicant a tool of trade vehicle as well as access to our VenPerks employee benefit program. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Manage the daytoday activities of work crews including coordinating all site activities, scheduling resources, plant and equipment, as well as standard administrative tasks.
Monitor and ensure site activities comply with statutory requirements, and organisational policies, procedures and standards.
Act as first point of contact for all stakeholders in relation to all site activities.
Contribute to a culture of innovation in project delivery that results in ongoing efficiencies and improvements in project work practices.
Ensure the safety of work crews, public, facilities and activities associated with the project, through ensuring potential hazards are identified and control measures are put in place to minimise and manage.
Ensure site communication and feedback mechanisms effectively distribute the relevant project safety information as well as wider business safety message.
Maintain relevant site registers associated with safety, quality, and environment.
Supervise and support the return to work of injured workers, as required.
Positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive and fair work environment, free from discrimination and harassment.

About you

Experience in the water sector or civil construction is desirable
Confined Space entry & Working at Heights ticket desirable
General Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
Evidence of immunity or willingness to obtain vaccination to gain immunity to Hepatitis A & B
