The opportunity


This opportunity would suit an enthusiastic individual with experience in a similar high-demand role who enjoys working across a broad array of matters.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Review and analyse a diverse range of commercial contracts and tender documents across various jurisdictions including: manufacturing & distribution, consignment, loan, service and supply;
  • Providing high quality and succinct legal advice and practical guidance to Executive and business stakeholders;
  • Confidently overseeing and managing contract lifecycle responsibilities including managing end to end tender processes, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing contracts with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders (internal & external);
  • Negotiating and drafting departures of contracts to mitigate business risk;
  • Manage and maintain contract templates, including updates and revisions;
  • Oversee and manage product complaint matters with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Effectively maintain relationships while communicating clearly and concisely to explain complex matters so that the broader business and applicable stakeholders understand the legal obligations and contractual requirements;
  • Ability to resolve problems, use sound judgement, and develop solutions;
  • Occasional legal research;
  • Administrative management of high volumes of work;
  • Responding to legal related queries from business units;
  • Preparation and submission of ASIC documentation;
  • Preparation and maintenance of corporate secretarial required documentation;
  • Assisting regulatory affairs team with issues relating to product liability and customer complaints including drafting and amending and Deeds of Release and engagement with external legal representatives;
  • Assisting business development team providing advice on contractual and insurance matters involving supplier manufacturing and distribution (customer and supplier) agreements and contractual and riskrelated support for general sales and marketing activities;
  • Assisting with employment related matters such as termination, restraints of trade and Deeds of Release.

Experience required:


  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar risk, contracts, or paralegal role preferably in a law firm or inhouse legal department;
  • Experience in commercial contract review, identifying risks, negotiation, administration and contract lifecycle management;
  • Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology;
  • Highly skilled in interpreting legal documentation.
