As the logistics Manager you leads a team of collection drivers to meet customer service levels in a safe and efficient manner by maximising the volume of waste collected from the market in line with EPA Victoria requirements, National Heavy Vehicle standards, Chain of Responsibility requirements and REMONDIS Australia processes and systems.

You will be also be responsible for the safe and efficient monitoring of the fleet of vehicles to ensure it is maintained across the lifecycle of the assets including management of costs, and development of fleet capacity to meet the requirements of the business.

You will be responsible for leading and inspiring teams and contractors in best practice in logistics and collections.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Logistics team to ensure all relevant services are completed in line with EPA Victoria requirements and that all regulatory reporting requirements are fulfilled.
  • Drive behaviours to be consistent with the REMONDIS Code of Conduct and enhance the team environment
  • Build an orientated team environment, focused on safely and efficiently delivering service to customers to grow the business
  • Maintain induction, training and licencing systems to ensure Drivers are appropriately qualified for the services to be delivered
  • Implement and maintain REMONDIS Australia processes and systems to maintain full compliance with all relevant EPA Victoria, VicRoads, Worksafe Victoria, Chain of Responsibility. Dangerous Goods and National Heavy Vehicle requirements.

Who you are

  • You'll be a natural problem solver, with the ability diagnose and find solutions
  • You'll be a natural based on strong experience in logistics and scheduling trucks
  • You have a current HR Licence
  • You'll have strong understanding of safety
  • You're a team player, willing to pitch in, support and help when required
  • You'll have previous experience in Waste Management Operations
  • Knowledge of truck and fleet safety as well as Chain of Responsibility
  • You're organized with great time management skills
