About the role

Due to continued business growth, our client is seeking a Light Vehicle Service Technician to come onboard with a genuine passion for providing quality vehicle maintenance and serviceability to their customers.

Using your well-honed industry experience and expertise, you will be maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide variety of vehicles on the workshop floor while supporting and mentoring apprentice and junior level team members.

Duties

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnose, identify faults, issues and repair vehicles
• Complete vehicle inspection reports and procedures
• Complete log book servicing
• Mentoring and guiding apprentice and junior level team members
• Ensure apprentice and junior team members complete required daily duties
• Road testing of vehicles
• Scan and diagnose vehicles' onboard computer systems with the use of a scan tool
• Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop floor
• Other duties as directed

About You
You are a self-starter that is renowned for your confident and honest approach in your workmanship. Your ability to keep an upbeat and level-headed demeanour in busy times assures certainty to those around you.

• Minimum 10 years' experience as a motor technician
• Completed Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Experience servicing a wide variety of vehicles, including European vehicles
• Genuine passion and enjoyment for cars
• Current and unsuspended Victorian Drivers' License
• Current Police Check
• Be wellgroomed and have good personal hygiene
• Possess excellent communication skills
• A drive to provide outstanding customer service
