The Role:

As a Procurement Associate, you will support the Procurement function across the ANZ market.

This position will ensure input to and alignment with the creation of regional and global sourcing strategies, representing the needs of local stakeholders and local markets dynamics, in partnership with category teams.

This is a key role that will focus on identifying and delivering business benefits aligned to assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation and delivering stakeholders and business partner requirements through execution of category strategies.


Key Responsibilities include:


Strategy execution and Sourcing

  • Support the Head of Procurement and having responsibility for executing sourcing activities. This may involve sourcing projects to identify the best suppliers able to meet Haleon's business requirements.
  • Align with appropriate category teams and work in collaboration with these teams to provide local business requirements and market information to support effective collaborative regional and global strategy creation and execution.
  • Execute global sourcing strategies for multiple spend categories in scope of responsibility, operating with a truly global mindset and ensuring all applicable LOC dimensions are accommodated.
  • Have a clear understanding of how global strategies affect local markets and build an education & communication process for regional Procurement leads and business units.
  • Be the local expert in the spend categories within scope of responsibility.

Benefit delivery

  • Ensure financial benefits are managed in accordance with the Procurement Plan and Savings Methodology approach, ensuring business unit and Finance agreement to financial value delivered and transparency on treatment of benefits in the budgeting process.

Business partnering & stakeholder management

  • Build strategic relationships with local stakeholders, to understand business requirements, identify opportunities to create value and to position Procurement's value proposition. Align sourcing strategies accordingly

External supplier relationships

  • Execute and manage contracts with suppliers that will allow Haleon to maximize opportunity globally. Ensure global views on supplier negotiations are taken.
  • Manage the local supply base for the categories within scope through a robust performance management process. Ensure supplier performance is understood and measured.

Administration

  • Support the P2P (Purchase to Pay) process within the business by responding to queries from colleagues in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Assist with vendor onboarding and proactively managing new suppliers and partners, ensuring that vendors in our SAP system are current and up to date.

About you:


This role is ideal for someone who has a bachelor's degree or relevant work experience, in the process of completing a postgraduate degree or is looking to return to the workforce part-time.


  • Has a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field or relevant work experience.
  • Experience within a Procurement, Finance or Marketing role with a keen interest in the procurement space.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills to be able to build a strong network of relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • A high level of business and financial acumen and can confidently influence and negotiate with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing categories would be highly desirable, particularly with respect to developing and implementing strategies, stakeholder and supplier relationship management.
  • Have a consumer centric approach, and uses this as a consideration in key decisions.
