The purpose of the Marketing Coordinator role is to work with the National Marketing Manager and lead Local Area Marketing, playing a key role in helping to drive the Mad Mex marketing function and contribute to brand growth.

Importantly this includes marketing across the franchise network, local area marketing (LAM), new restaurant openings, and to a lesser extent assisting with National Campaigns, as required.

You will focus on assisting in the development of Local Area Marketing (LAM) initiatives, driving the use of current kits, and maintaining communication with franchisees, the operations team, and centre marketing contacts to help drive the success of these campaigns.

Additionally, you will assist the National Marketing Manager with the development of National Campaign execution across in-restaurant assets, owned Social Media assets, PR, and paid media.


LAM is a key driver of the Mad Mex business and is a core revenue stream for our franchise network.

A large component of this role is about providing successful execution of these programs and the rollout of new restaurant openings including events.

The objectives of this role are to ensure that we are providing our franchisees with an appropriate level and quality of LAM support and day-to-day management and to provide Support Office with an appropriate level of visibility on all activity and results.


LAM Approach

  • Execute LAM initiatives inline with the strategy provided by the National Marketing Manager
  • Priority restaurants o New restaurant openings This includes planning and executing the opening strategy as well as ensuring all backend database setup is ready such as restaurant listings on all digital channels
  • Ongoing maintenance including maintaining LAM databases
  • Assist in the execution and upkeep of the marketing intranet
  • Developing and maintaining bestinclass LAM toolkits
  • Local area social media creation/opportunities
  • Events
  • Manage daily requests from franchisees, business managers, and the operational team
  • Manage tracking and reporting of all LAM activity
  • Assist with the yearly LAM program development
  • Assist in developing reporting templates for LAM initiatives
  • Assist in the development/evolution of LAM toolkits
  • Assist with CRM execution

Restaurant Openings

  • Onboarding of new restaurants
  • Scoping and supporting opening events including social media and PR support
  • Working with the franchisee and operations manager to execute and manage
  • Managing budgets
  • Postopening reporting/tracking of activity
  • Managing new activity for the restaurant's postopening contributing to sales for these new restaurants

National Campaign approach

  • Assist the team with the development of National Campaign execution, as required
  • Support touchpoints include inrestaurant menu panels and pointofsale assets, owned Social media assets, primarily Facebook and Instagram along with paid Social Media
  • Social Media & Content management of account, oversight of investment, ideation, content creation, and analysis of performance
  • Manage print distribution for national campaigns including liaising with suppliers and distribution lists

Administration

  • Assist the Marketing Department with additional administration where required for example invoice management, marketing WIP, customer inquiries, and internal communications
  • Assist in customer complaints on social media
  • Maintenance of brand restaurant database

Stakeholder Engagement & Management

  • Engage and enhance relationships with franchise partners and operations team, external suppliers, and key internal stakeholders to achieve agreed business objectives

Skills & Experience

  • Marketing communication experience capability
  • Has experience in either a QSR, retail or related agency environment
  • Campaign management skills, highlighting implementation and execution stages
  • Understanding of retail marketing and communication channels
  • Ability to perform in a fastpaced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills are written and oral
  • Digital marketing skills
  • Highly organised with a strong followup nature
  • Enjoy collaborating with amigos
Would be 10% more awesome to have

  • 1+ years in a marketing role with emphasis on LAM or localised campaigns
  • Work experience in a QSR or retail restaurant environment
  • Exposure to digitalled campaigns
  • Strong project management skills
  • Passion for the food and the retail industry
  • Relevant qualifications
