IB&M is responsible for managing the Group's relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services.

QDAT's (Quants, Data, Analytics and Technology) purpose is to power, transform & grow IB&M, supporting its strategy via a centre of excellence using data, mathematics, insights, and technology to deliver exceptional results for our clients and the wider Group.

We are a diverse, driven, and focused team who are delivering actionable market insights & data through a process of collection, validation, and publication across a range of Fixed Income, Commodities, FX, Equities and other Financial market products.

As part of the CommBank's Market Data Core we are responsible for Market Data management on behalf of the Group to enhance decision making which will positively affect our customers.

In this Role

You will collaborate with Traders, Quants, Treasury and Front-Office IB&M colleagues and provide support which is designed to help calculate and evaluate market and credit risk across a broad suite of Fixed Income, FX, Commodities and Equity products.

This is 12-Month Max Term opportunity and is a great role to get exposure to market products, data and insights across multiple regions, geographies, and areas of CommBank's business.

On any given day you will:

Review data and identify patterns and trends, when required trouble shoot or escalate findings
Educate, communicate, and positively influence stakeholders including work with Projects and other regulatory/market changes
Utilise data and analytical tools and automation to help make meaningful decisions with a cando attitude
Together we can build stateoftheart data and analytics creating better experiences for our customers

We're interested in hearing from people who have

Intricate attention to detail skills and will be comfortable evaluating data and questioning its validity while being familiar with Markets products
Able to motivate /lead others when required to deliver in outcomes and projects
Pride themselves on their ability in driving solutions by reconciling data, detecting issues, and identifying patterns
You have great learning attitude and have a strong interest in financial markets and market data validation
Are constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries solve complex technical problems
Are comfortable in executing, developing, and debugging queries using scripts/systems provided
Familiarity with APS 116 / 117 or similar APRA documentation desired
