You will join CommBank's Trade Finance Operations team sitting within our Global Trade Operations function within our Chief Operating Office (COO).

The Trade Finance Operations team operates in a middle-office environment and are focussed on the delivery and settlement of Trade Finance products.

The team provide assists in originating new business and servicing existing clients while performing validations, bookings, confirmations of traditional and structured trade finance products and solutions

The Role.
You will be accountable for the delivery and operational management of Trade Finance Products.

This includes processing Trade Documentations, Letters of Credit (LC's), Trade Collections and Negotiations, and Trade Loans across both Import and Export customers in Brisbane.

You will build relationships with stakeholders in international payment clearing processes and our valued clients which s pan in size and complexity across Small-Medium Enterprise (SME) to our Institutional Bank & Markets (IB&M) clients.

You will utilise existing skills and increase your knowledge of the global and domestic Trade Finance environment and will partner with and support Trade Sales Specialists by providing s olutions to clients on both traditional and structured trade finance products.

You will monitor and review trade transactions against regulatory Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) policies while ensuring each transactions meet the Banks risk appetite.

On any given day you will:

Work collaboratively in a team to service existing and new to bank clients for all their Trade Finance needs.
Assist with client account management in maintaining and growing client base
Support Sales Channels and Trade Sales Specialists Improve productivity through reviewing policy, process and procedures

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

Some knowledge of the global trade environment and the domestic Trade Finance industry, including International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP) rules.

You will also have a solid understanding of the Australian and global banking regulatory and compliance environments

You will also have:

Strong Knowledge of AML and Sanctions requirements
Knowledge of all trade finance processes, the trade settlement process, the documentation and systems used internationally to facilitate trade finance.
Commercially focused with strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand and analyse facility agreements Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships, through the delivery of exceptional service outcomes
