As the Principal House Officer/Registrar you will be expected to participate in the provision of high-level emergency and inpatient clinical services within West Morton Rural Services and to ensure that safe, high quality, patient centred care is provided to all within West Moreton Health.

About you

  • Passion for providing excellent clinical care to their community as a Rural Medical Officer
  • Experience in delivering quality care to inpatients, outpatients, Emergency Department clients across a variety of acuity and care needs.
  • Excellent communication and team work skills across a variety of settings including in an emergency

Mandatory Requirements:


  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/1
  • Vaccinated against COVID19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification registrable with the Medical Board of Queensland.
