The

Test Analyst is responsible for assisting the Test Lead in ensuring that proposed system changes have passed a rigorous testing process, meet the requirements as signed off by users and key stakeholders, and are fit for purpose.


The Test Analyst works in our testing environments, assessing products, checking for quality and accuracy, and creating tests scripts and liaises with business stakeholders.

Duties

  • Conform to the IT testing and IT documentation standards for the organisation.
  • Analyse problems and complete detailed explanation, tracking and/or recording of the defect.
  • Work with business roles to define test scenarios and test cases for the evolving solution
  • Carry out all types of technical testing of the solution as a whole.
  • Liaise with the Business Analyst and business roles to help clarify acceptance criteria for requirements.
  • Create test products as appropriate, e.g. Test cases, Test plans and Test logs.
  • Report the results of testing activities to the ICT Test Lead, Software Development Manager and development team.
  • Assist business stakeholders so that they can plan and carry out user acceptance testing well enough to ensure that the key criteria are covered.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience (eg 35 years) as a tester with exceptional skills and knowledge of the testing discipline including:
  • Experience in testing in an environment covered by formal quality accreditations
  • Experience in testing in a medical, legal, or Healthcare environment would be highly regarded but not essential
  • Demonstrated experience in testing small to large system changes including changes for major software developments and other changes e.g.
    Windows upgrade projects, infrastructure upgrades.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate test documentation and reports.

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team while maintaining professional standards.
  • Experience in testing across varied environments at all stages of the SDLC
  • Have an indepth understanding of formalised testing processes and techniques, including various tools used throughout.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in computing or related discipline or similar experience.
  • Agile Certification is desirable.
  • ISTQB Certification is desirable.
This role is a Fixed Term Contract for 2 years with the possibility to extend.


Hybrid Work From Home and Office with the expectation of 2-3 days per week from the office to enable the Test Analyst to work closely with the IT and Business SME's and develop a good working relationship.
