Healius is a national provider of Pathology and Diagnostic Imaging services. We operate approximately 2,200 Pathology collection centres and 102 laboratories, and 145 Imaging sites. We employ over 10,000 people nationally across all states.

The End User Compute (EUC) Manager leads the EUC team to manage and maintain EUC environments within Healius including:

  • Desktops, tablets, and laptops.
The EUC team provides 2/3 EUC Support.

To be successful, you will be required to develop strong stakeholder and working relationships between multiple internal technology resource teams, business stakeholders, external vendors, and delivery teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the EUC roadmap as part of the overarching IT Operations Roadmap.
  • Supporting software/hardware configuration, SOE (Windows and MAC), installing OS updates, patch/update testing, patch management for 3rd party apps, and issue resolution/support for requests through Service Now.
  • Develop the EUC security strategy in conjunction with the Cyber security team to understand threats, and create a program of work to reduce risks.
  • Work within approved Information Security policies and actively maintain and uplift overall cyber risk posture of EUC systems.
  • Developing, building, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Windows Standardised Operating Environments (SOE) & Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
  • Govern the EUC platforms by actively reviewing current practices to identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings and develop or revise existing policies, procedures and operational standards, and future direction.
  • Analysing, logging, tracking, and resolving complex issues related to Windows SOEs & VDI, and other EUC accountabilities.
  • Electronic meeting/conference rooms management, integration, and maintenance.
  • Licence management (Microsoft suite).
  • Act as an escalation point from the service desk, performing complex troubleshooting and fulfilling requests requiring indepth attention.
  • Issue analysis and resolution for EUC related P1 incidents outside of normal hours.
  • Attend regular Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to raise EUC related changes and to review other IT changes for impact to the EUC environments.
  • Effectively communicate upcoming changes to relevant stakeholders, including technology teams, business team members, vendors, project teams and other relevant individuals\teams.
  • Weekly reporting.
  • Working closely with other IT technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver and maintain the Healius SOE environments.

Experience:

  • 2+ years experience in similar IT/EUC positions.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Office 365, SCCM, InTune, Group Policy, and related technologies.
  • Experience working with a variety of technical and nontechnical stakeholders, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Experience in dealing with 3rd party partners/vendors, to assist in EUC roadmap preparation, and day to day issue resolution.
  • Experience working within the Service Now (SNOW).
  • Familiarity with the Health sector (desirable).
  • Understanding of the ITIL framework.
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Microsoft Windows SOE Development and Deployment.
  • VDI systems implementation & maintenance.
  • Application packaging, virtualization & deployment.
  • Application patching.
  • Endpoint management.
  • Cybersecurity patching.
  • Vulnerability management

Critical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of Windows Patching.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with all staff levels and senior leadership teams.
