Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Talent Acquisition strategies and campaigns
  • Lead proactive talent search activities
  • Coaching leaders on talent acquisition practices
  • Develop the TA calendar and determine which events Centurion should have a presence at such as recruitment fairs and university careers days
  • Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department
  • Identify and present alternate recruitment advertising options
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide recruitment solutions
  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies and industry bodies
  • Develop talent pipelines and communicate regularly and maintain relationships with talent pools
  • Research and identify emerging talent acquisition trends in the employment market and transport & logistics industry
  • Review and develop recruitment resources including interview guides and job advertisements
  • Regularly review the effectiveness of the recruitment and selection process and initiatives, and recommend/develop improvements
  • Review sourcing channel effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
  • Assist the HR team with updating and maintaining recruitment and selection policy and procedure
  • Support with management of agency preferred suppliers as required
  • Managing all direct reports

Who we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent technical experience
  • Previous experience in a Talent Acquisition role
  • Understanding of different employment arrangements as well as being able to ensure compliance with enterprise agreements/awards
  • Ability to lead and mentor Recruitment Advisors, Officers and Administrators
  • Ability to work highly autonomously and without supervision
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to think practically and logically through difficult and complex situations to offer a business focused solution
  • Passion for working with people and developing highly effective business leaders
