We are currently looking for an experienced Specialist Category Management / Category Specialist to join one of our highly esteemed clients located in Perth.

The role will be commencing on the 31st July and offers genuine career progression.


About this role Key Responsibilities**:


  • Collaborate proactively within our procurement team, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Utilise your expertise and experience to achieve business outcomes confidently.
  • Manage contracts by implementing processes, procedures, systems, and knowledge to maximise commercial benefit while minimising risk.
  • Foster strategic supplier relationships to drive value and ensure effective supplier management.
  • Develop and implement category strategies that align with the clients business objectives.
  • Take charge of the endtoend sourcing process for assigned projects.
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers on highrisk and highvalue contracts, using effective processes and a deep understanding of both parties' positions.
  • Ensure business objectives are met through meticulous governance, compliance management, and risk assessment and treatment.
  • Analyze and report relevant procurement lifecycle data effectively.
  • Build strong business partnerships and showcase your commercial acumen by establishing trustful relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needs and opportunities.

About you To be successful in this role, you should**:

  • Possess exceptional self-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Exhibit resilience when facing challenging circumstances.
  • Showcase your past experiences and how they will contribute to your success in this role, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of procurement practices, governance, and processes.
  • Ideally, hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Commerce, Law, or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years' experience working with Technology contracts and/or as a Technology Category/Contracts Specialist.
  • Show good exposure and knowledge of technology, especially software and artificial intelligence, which would be highly regarded.
