Business Support Officer (Property & Fleet)*:

Permanent, full-time position based in Hobart CBD

Seeking a motivated, naturally empathic & compassionate individual who won't shy away from a busy, hands-on role where no two days are the same.
Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit organisation providing a wide range of community services to the people of Tasmania. We are part of the national Anglicare Australia network of organisations. Anglicare advocates for social justice and aids people in times of need. We provide programs relating to health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and support and more.

The Business Support Officer (Property & Fleet) assists in supporting Anglicare's Property and Fleet work units by:

  • responding to support requests relating to maintenance of buildings, office equipment, and other property including security, repairs and maintenance;
- undertaking tenancy management functions including lease sign ups, condition inspections and Notices to Vacate;
- managing fleet vehicles, facilitating bookings, insurance matters, servicing and repairs;
- communicating, both verbally and in writing, with contractors, tenants, clients and company stakeholders.


What you'll have:

  • Facility and Tenancy management experience;
- high level interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively engage with service users who are homeless or in housing need;
- the ability to work individually, under supervision and as part of a team within defined instructions and established guidelines and procedures.

Successful applicants must be willing to:

  • present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- undertake a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:

  • provide evidence of your COVID-19 Digital Certificates (including booster) or a vaccination exemption;
- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver License.

On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
