Due to our ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for industry experienced and passionate trainers and assessors to join our exceptional team of supportive professionals.


Abbey is seeking energetic, motivated, confident and outgoing trainers with experience in providing high quality, compliant and engaging training and assessment to aspiring international students.

Workplace tasking and key responsibilities:_

  • Providing face to face training and support to our international students
  • Complete all relevant qualifications upon commencement to deliver training as per requirements.
  • Follow training and assessment programs using coursework and resources provided by Abbey College.
  • Demonstrate a flexible and engaging approach to delivering educational programs to the learner cohort.
  • Monitor & support student progress by ensuring comprehensive training planning, professional delivery & required assessment of all registered students.
  • Possess timemanagement skills and the ability to meet deadlines and work with timetables.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on training processes and materials
  • Assist with industry validation of the program.
  • Work with management and other staff to develop strategies to improve the quality of training and assessment.
  • Monitor and support student progress by ensuring comprehensive training planning, professional delivery, attendance recording and required assessment of all registered students.
  • Demonstrate resilience and interpersonal skills when engaging with a mixed cohort of learners.
  • Complete all training and assessment documentation in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Administer course progression records, including learner coursework scanning and storage, to meet compliance obligations.
  • Manage challenges and barriers faced with delivering alternative education to Learner cohort and actively reengage them into education.
  • Possess strong written, oral, and digital literacy skills and attention to detail.
  • Work within the guidelines of the RTO's Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS) documents.
  • Undertake regular professional development to maintain current industry skills and knowledge relevant to the training and assessment being delivered.
  • Demonstrate current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that inform training and assessment.
  • Possess the ability to use computer operating systems, Microsoft Office, learner management system (Moodle), and work within a document management system.
  • Adhere to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Standards for RTOs 2015, requirements on training packages, and relevant governing bodies.
  • Implement WHS procedures for all learners according to the context of the training and in accordance with all relevant legislation.

Skills and Experience:_

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Qualified to deliver at Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma level in required Field
  • Ability to adapt your course delivery to maintain class engagement
  • Able to demonstrate currency in your field of expertise by providing documentation
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Effective time management and prioritization

Job Types:
Part-time, Subcontract, Casual, Seasonal, Temp to perm


Salary:
$ $60.00 per hour
