About the role


We are looking for a
_Procurement Specialist - Global Technology_ who will be responsible for executing technology sourcing and contract implementation activities across major projects and mine closure activity globally across Rio Tinto.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology procurement professional.

You will enjoy working as part of the Global Technology Procurement team, collaborating with a range of stakeholders to influence and manage a broad portfolio of work.

You have a passion for process improvement and transformation and can speak the language of today's technology landscape.

Reporting to the
_Principal Advisor - Global Technology_ you will:


  • Develop and execute technology sourcing strategies for major projects
  • Undertake sourcetocontract activities working closely with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and support the project delivery team to help manage contract performance
  • Build and manage effective relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders
  • Provide commercial leadership and guidance to the relevant stakeholder teams
  • Build and grow relationships with relevant suppliers to drive maximum value through the scoping, sourcing and negotiation phase
  • Work effectively in a global team
  • Facilitate a seamless working relationship with the Rio Tinto Procurement category management team and business partners

What you'll bring


To be successfully considered for this role, you will have had significant prior experience in Technology Procurement as well as a proven record of leading to drive successful commercial outcomes.

Your ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders to drive a culture of collaboration, participation and improvement is essential.


A good understanding of the resources sector is highly regarded within this role and will enable you to have immediate impact and contribution to the team.
