The opportunity:


Hunter Executive is partnering with an innovative privately owned engineering consultancy who are seeking a self-driven water professional to join their Victorian team.

Involved in small to large major infrastructure projects across, road / rail and metro.

This integral position will work within a dedicated team focused on providing clients and other stakeholders with innovative engineering solutions for infrastructure, building and land development projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Capability to develop and review complex TUFLOW models.
  • Ability to create meaningful reports, presentations and present at client, stakeholder, and community meetings
  • Solve technical flood modelling issues and provide solutions
  • Carry out technical reviews of hydrological and hydraulic models
  • Accountable for specific parts of a design package within a project

The 'Ideal' person will have:


  • More than 4 years' experience in flood assessments, hydrology, and hydraulic modelling in consulting practices in Australia
  • Twodimensional TUFLOW hydraulic modelling experience and hydrology skills
  • WBNM, RAFTS, RORB or WBNM
  • Comprehensive understanding of the principles of the Australian Rainfall and Runoff Guidelines 2019; incorporated with a familiarity with Local and State flooding legislations, policies, and approval pathways
  • Understanding of flood policy, relevant legislation, codes of practice, regulations, and guidelines (Melbourne Water and VicRoads/Austroads Standards and approval pathways
  • Experience in major infrastructure projects experience and/or relationships with relevant State agencies, such as Melbourne Water, Department of Transport and Main Roads Queensland and Transport for NSW will be favoured
  • Strong written and verbal skills ability to create meaningful report\
  • Projects and stormwater drainage design experience is desired but not essential
