Specialised Residential Care (SRC) program supports young people aged 10 to 18 who have experienced significant trauma, abuse, and neglect by utilising a therapeutic approach.

Our dedicated team work with children and young people to achieve emotional wellbeing and personal growth.


We are excited to announce the establishment of three new
Therapeutic Care Team Leader positions within our SRC program across Adelaide.

These positions are
part-time (0.8 FTE/ 30 hrs per week) and primarily based in our
Kent Town office.

The position is responsible for overseeing and delivering a positive and thriving therapeutic care environment within
one of our three homes based in Gilles Plains, Golden Grove and Nuriootpa.

As a Therapeutic Care Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of dedicated professionals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic care services to children and young people residing in the home.

You will play a crucial role in providing guidance, support, and mentorship to your team, while also actively participating in the therapeutic care process.

Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Building and promoting a positive and thriving community that supports the children and young people residing in the home.
  • Leading and managing a team of Therapeutic Care Workers (TCWs).
  • Conducting regular operational supervision meetings with the Therapeutic Care Workers (TCWs) in the assigned home.
  • Providing guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to deliver exceptional care.
  • Overseeing the update and maintenance of individual Therapeutic Care Plans.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in the creation and implementation of individualised transition plans for children and young people moving into and out of the home.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all administrative tasks, including handling petty cash, organising rosters and timesheets, submitting leave, and writing case notes and reports.

About You
As a natural and experienced leader, you will lead a team and work in a collaborative environment.

You will have exceptional time management and organisational skills and be able to plan and coordinate resources to meet program delivery and client needs to achieve set targets within deadlines.


You will use your expertise and knowledge to help young people settle into a home-like environment, increase their independent living skills and connection with the local community as well as supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations.


  • Previous experience working with young people with complex trauma.
  • Strong engagement skills and the ability to interact effectively and sensitively with young people, families, peers, and other service providers to achieve positive outcomes with clients.
  • The ability to navigate challenges with confidence and understanding.
  • Strong leadership capability and previous experience leading a team that works across a 24/7 roster.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively guide and motivate team members.
  • The ability to participate in an outofhours oncall roster is essential.

For this role, you will need to:

  • Hold a minimum degree level qualification in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology Occupational Therapy, or other allied health services or currently working towards one.
  • Hold and maintain an approved First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Hold and maintain Safe Environments for Children and Young People Certificate.
  • Be prepared to undergo a psychological assessment.
  • Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
  • Have possession of a current valid Driver's License, willingness to drive, and your own registered vehicle with a 45star ANCAP safety rating.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.
