What the role is all about


The Events Manager role sits within the Mortgage Choice Communications, Events & Franchise Marketing team, which is responsible for keeping our nationwide network of mortgage broking franchisees and their teams informed, involved and engaged - especially during this time of change and transition.


Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, you will provide support as we plan and deliver events for our broker network and internal teams.

In this role, you'll experience interesting, challenging and varied work, taking ownership of some projects and supporting on others in a fast-paced, friendly and supportive environment.

You will have variety, pace and be working among some incredibly smart people (if we do say so ourselves). You will primarily be working on a portfolio of events to support, reward and engage our nationwide broker network.


Your role will include:

  • Supporting the Senior Event Manager in running broker events
  • Running some events end to end autonomously
  • Managing contract approvals with our Legal team and ensuring we meet our commitments and make payments on time
  • Keeping abreast of industry developments and competitor activity
  • Delivering postevent reporting and evaluation, including ROI assessment and continuous improvement recommendations for future activity
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and on budget
  • Managing administrative tasks for yourself and the Senior Events Manager, if required.
Who we're looking for

  • Has 5+ years of experience working in event management
  • Is a great communicator, able to liaise with stakeholders from all functions, at all levels
  • Is developing their project management skills, from concept to execution
  • Has superb organisational and administrative skills
  • Is adaptable and not flustered by change; will thrive in an evolving and ambiguous environment
  • Has experience with event management software (in particular Events Air)
  • Understands the importance of a well organised and executed event
  • Thinks on their feet and is a natural born problem solver
  • Has demonstrates knowledge of audio/visual technologies
  • Can think critically
  • Has advanced skills in Word, Powerpoint and Excel
