Mercy Palliative Care is seeking casual Health Care workers in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Join our team in providing high quality care to patients in the community.


ABOUT THE ROLE:
Join our friendly team and a leading provider of palliative care services in Melbourne. Our aim is to maximize the quality of life by provision of the highest standard symptom management and support.

  • Our service has offices located in Werribee, Sunshine and Parkville.
  • Provide palliative care to terminally ill patients in the community, and support their families.
  • Work in consultation with other staff to provide relevant and timely care to patients/carers.
  • Predominantly night duty covering annual leave and sick leave.
  • Pool car and electronic devices provided as required.

ABOUT YOU:


  • Certificate III in Aged Care/Home and Community Care or Individual support.
  • Welldeveloped communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work across a variety of shifts including night duty and respite.
  • Current and Valid Drivers licence essential.
  • Demonstrated understanding of patient
- centred care.

Mercy Palliative Care is a community palliative care service operating in the Western region of Melbourne and provides a holistic multidisciplinary approach to palliative care.

We provide psychological and spiritual support, caring for people of all ages with life-limiting illnesses in their homes as well as complex symptom management.

We currently care for over 500 patients across the region in their own homes.
