We are seeking enthusiastic people to work as
Sales Representatives at the Royal Australian Mint Tourist Shop.

Working under the direction of our Coin shop Supervisor and Coin Shop Team Leaders the Sales Representative is responsible for counter sales and responding to enquiries from visitors to the Mint.

The Sales Representative is the front line of face-to-face customer service for visitors, including our regular numismatic collectors, school groups, and national and international tourists selling quality numismatic products, souvenirs and gifts.

The duties of this position include:

Assisting in the day-to-day activities of the Mint Shop, including counter sales of all numismatic and non-numismatic product and dealing with counter enquiries from visitors.
Providing assistance with Shop and Public Press opening and closing procedures.
Store merchandising, shop marketing and inventory control including stock takes and loss prevention.
Receipting and accounting for monies received; including balancing daily takings and reconciling discrepancies.
Documenting and maintaining accurate records in accordance with the Mint's Record Keeping Policy.

Security clearance
This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
