About the Role
The DEIT Strategic Comms/Engagement team has a fantastic, ongoing opportunity for an Associate Director.


In the role of Associate Director, you will lead a team to deliver end-to-end high quality internal and external strategic photographic, video content and communications, including the development through to production and publication on internal and external channels.


This exciting, fast-paced role will see you develop impactful content showcasing the important work of the Department and its divisions - Create NSW, Hospitality and Racing, Investment NSW, the Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner, and the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer - as well as engagement with our wider portfolio and other NSW Government departments.


About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, digital film production or relevant discipline, or equivalent digital media, film and communications experience.
  • A current drivers licence.
  • Stakeholder management expertise and experience navigating through government processes combined with strong leadership skills and the ability to drive performance in complex, politically and commercially sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working at a senior or executive level in a complex organisation delivering specialist and authoritative advice to executive leadership.
  • Experience leading, managing and delivering multiple concurrent photographic, video content and communications projects in a variety of locations and styles for a diverse range of audiences and media platforms in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
  • Experience using and maintaining digital photography, film, production and editing equipment, coupled with technical knowledge and experience using Premier Pro, After Effects, Audience, Motion and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven technical capability to operate, configure, setup, calibrate and fix digital camera, video, switching, editing, audio, lighting, and postproduction equipment, and use software for scripting and video editing.
  • Experience working in high pressure media situations on location, and in variable lighting and audio quality conditions under pressure to drive priorities and meet deadlines.
