We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join us on a fixed term contract until December 2024 to manage our payroll function for Australia & New Zealand.

This exciting role is responsible for the day-to-day management and governance of the payroll operations as well as compliance and management of third-party relationships.

This role will include:

Oversight and signoff on monthly, fortnightly and adhoc pay runs ensuring they are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Ownership of monthly payroll reporting, journal preparation and payroll balance sheet reconciliations.
Working and engaging with the key stakeholders across the business to help improve and further develop the payroll systems functionality and capability.
Leadership of the onshore Melbourne based payroll compliance team, as well as oversight of Payroll operations carried out by our Aurecon Payroll team in Manila.
Lead strategic and change management initiatives to improve the payroll function on an ongoing basis.
Managing the external payroll service provider to ensure adherence to SLA's and other contractual and compliance obligations.

As well as significant experience in a similar role

Specifically:

Significant experience as a Payroll Manager, ideally with exposure to large complex organisations.
Prior Professional Services industry experience preferred.
Experience using Workday and SAP is preferred.
Experience managing a third party managed service provider.
Exceptional interpersonal skill to influence and collaborate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.
Considerable attention to detail and comfortable with change management.
Demonstrated experience with people leadership as well as coaching and mentoring of onshore/offshore employees.
