About the Role:


We are looking for an Interior Designer, with proven experience working in both residential and hospitality design environment, to join our young spirited team.


Our interior design team work on projects individually and as a team, managing a project from end to end, including documentation in Autocad across multiple sectors including private housing, hotel public areas, guestrooms, restaurants, etc.

This role is to work primarily in the hotel design team, so experience in this sector is necessary.


Vital to our success is our ability to communicate designs and ideas through all mediums including Sketchup, Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Rhinoceros and Lumion are required.

Since we do projects internationally, high level of English is mandatory, and any other languages are a plus.


Our open and light-filled Sydney studio is in Chippendale, close to trains and buses, with onsite shower for those who enjoy riding or running to work.

You will become part of our fun-loving, dedicated, and creative and international team.


Pay:
AU $70,000 per year + superannuation


General Duties:


  • Contribute to all project phases: concept design, space planning, design development, documentation to onsite construction management and contract administration
  • Contribute to client briefings, workshops, design, and design development
  • Create designs and documentations in Rhinoceros +Sketchup w/ Lumion and Autocad
  • Prepare presentations and communicate designs in multiple forms; Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhinoceros, Lumion, Sketchup, etc.
  • Work cohesively in a small and larger team

About you:


You will need to have experience working in the hotels & resorts design sector and are looking for an opportunity to grow and develop further by working on large-scale projects and leading teams of other designers.


As an international firm, you will need strong Autocad skills and an ability to produce drawings up to a high level for design development.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in interior design or Interior Architecture
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Interior Designer, ideally working on both hospitality and residential projects
  • Strong Autocad skills
  • Ability to contribute to all project phases: concept design, space planning, design development, documentation to onsite construction management and contract administration
  • An understanding of the fundamental BCA's and related building regulations and specifications
  • Strong presentation and rendering skills; Rhinoceros, Lumion, Sketchup, Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Office Suite will be highly regarded
  • High level of English, and extra languages are valued.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively communicate with team members, consultants, and clients
  • Demonstrated proactive and collaborative approach to projects
  • Personal pride and accountability in your work
  • The capacity to work as part of a team with the ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work on more than one project as required
