NES Fircroft are working with a major Oil & Gas operator seeking a Finance Business Partner within the Corporate Services space.

Experience needed:
Undergraduate Degree in Accounting (Essential) and/or CA/ CPA / CIMA, Post -Graduate, - 5 years experience, exposure to SAP, Financial Accounting / Management Accounting experience.
Position:
As a member of the Finance team acting as Finance Business Partner to all company group assets, which includes both operated and non-operated Joint Ventures.
The role will ensure that consistent methodologies regarding accurate cost management of planned activities are applied for the assigned Corporate Support Functions.
continuous improvement of processes (e.g. budgeting/forecasting, reporting, accruals, coding, etc.), and participating in the Finance team's development.
There are several components to this role.
OHS Component:
Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment always.
Consolidate and Report Component:
Receive journal and accrual inputs prepared by the offshore operatives that work with the Management Accounting team;
- Review and ensure journals/accruals are processed accurately
- Ensure integrity of processes such as CATS, assessment cycles, CO-PS WBS, CO-CCA, CO-IO;
- Receive reconciliation inputs prepared by the offshore Management Accounting team;
- Support cost allocation process.
- Coordinate the consolidation of business department impacts on cash calls
Management

Accounting Component:Coordinate preparation of budget/forecast for assigned Departments for inclusion in the relevant Work Program and Budget documents which are submitted for approval by company Board and JV participants (as required):
- Coordinate the annual budget in line with the guideline/ timetable;
- Submit quarterly forecasts for relevant periods of expenditure;
- Maintain foreign currency views;
- Oversight of financial risks in contracts for Departments assigned;
- Participate in contract evaluation process;
- Understand and communicate finance risks in contracts and obtain negotiated outcomes that meet company requirements;
- Proactively manage issues in contracts.
- Management reporting with the support of the offshore Management Accounting team:
- Maintain and improve effectiveness and efficiency of enterprise reporting suite to meet internal managers'
- Deliver management reporting within six (6) business days of each period close;
- Deliver inputs for Head Office and management reporting with variance commentary on material differences;
Prepare suitable inputs to support asset approval and
Regulation Component:
- Provide support to the Audit Committee;
- Followup all action items with the support of the offshore Management Accounting team;
- Support Tax team in preparation and analysis of financial
Team Work Component:
- Ensure the successful setup, transition and improvement of activities within the offshore teams.
- Provide team feedback regularly, with performance reviews half yearly for onshore and performance feedback for offshore
- Coach other Finance and/or offshore team members as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience with an Oil & Gas Exploration and Production major, with international exposure (not essential).
- Experience with SAP demonstrably capable
- FI/CO PS module with some knowledge of MM, BW and other modules.
- Able to work alone and plan activities to meet tight timeframes and execute to same targets while dealing with competing demands.
- Seeks to identify root cause of issues, position for Finance outcomes to be met, while working collaboratively on solutions.
- Can identify when business activities impact on Finance needs and seeks guidance to deliver win/win outcomes.
- Ability to discuss technical matters in an articulate manner.
- Good communication skills with an ability to build relationships especially with nonFinance team members
