About the role


Sydney South West Private Hospital is currently seeking professional a customer focused Supply Officer to join their busy team of professionals on a casual basis.

Reporting directly to the Supply Team Leader, this position is responsible for assisting with the supply management of hospital, focusing in operating theatres with involvement in wards and other areas within the hospital.

The position also includes handling supply & imprest queries as well as general duties in our logistics area. The position is hands on and requires a high level of physical work.

Sydney Southwest Private Hospital is a 98 bed, 7 operating theatres acute surgical hospital that serves the needs of the local community at Liverpool and surrounds.

Services provided include (but not limited to) General & Surgical Day Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Maternity and Special Care Nursery facilities, Oncology Unit as well as a Mental Health Unit.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide exceptional customer/patient service by replenishing hospital imprest areas
  • Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff as required to create an experience that makes a difference.
  • Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope's policies and processes, code of conduct.
  • Maintain standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
  • Supports Healthscope's safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in department meetings, audits and quality activities.
  • Ensure compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.

Essential Criteria:


  • Experience with a computerised purchasing system (i.e. Technology One)
  • Ability to work within constraints of a set financial budget
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Proven time management and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role (desired)
  • Medical product knowledge (desired)
