Accounts Officer at Hyatt Centric Melbourne


As the Accounts Officer, you will be involved in multiple functions of Finance department such as income and cost audits, accounts payable, receivable and more.

Working in a small team, you will support the Accountant & Director of Finance to complete necessary day-to-day operations, as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.


Some of the responsibilities include:


  • Handle Accounts Receivable invoices and prompt payment follow ups.
  • Review and prepare F&B daily and weekly reports and ensure compliance as per policy and procedures.
  • Review and resolve discrepancies in credit card reconciliation & daily revenue reconciliation.
  • Assist accounts payable in invoices & payment processing as and when required
  • Implement and review policies and procedures to improve accuracy and timeliness of hotel transactions.
  • Conduct audits for all departments to ensure that all are following policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Fully conversant with operation for receiving, purchasing, issuing, storing, and kitchen.
  • Working cohesively with offshore Shared Service Centre to ensure accuracy & efficiency of the finance functions.

Qualifications:


About you:


  • Minimum qualification required is a Bachelor of Commerce/Accounting
  • Experience in a hotel in a similar position is advantageous
  • Familiarity with all aspects of accounting such as accounts receivable, payable, payroll, cost audit, general cashier and SSC.
  • Fantastic communication skills and confident to deal and negotiate with relevant stakeholders
  • A strong attention to detail and great organization skills
  • A selfstarter with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Confident in Microsoft Excel
