Start-up business who has secured funding from the private and public sector.

This opportunity is perfect for someone who has an interest in Research/Commercialisation and working in a business that is in their infancy.

Ideally, you will naturally thrive in an ambiguous environment and enjoy each day being completely different.

About the Role

The aim is to help set up the business which will include creating the budget, setting up processes, running the full P&L and working with internal/external stakeholders.

Working closely with the Executive team setting up the business and running the daytoday operations.
Management and oversight of the full P&L (approx. $100m).
Develop business cases when needed.
Provide high level support to the Executive team, reporting on projects/customers, setting, and working towards the budget.
Identifying industry partners to successfully commercialise research.
Working with internal stakeholders to support the daytoday operations of the business.
Working with external customers ensuring relationships are built and there is constant growth.
Implementing a strategy and ensuring financial viability.
Ad hoc project work when needed.

Skills & Experience

Experience working in a similar role
General Manager position
Must have experience managing a full P&L ($100m)
Must have experience working in a start up or SME business
Ideally had experience in commercialisation or IP
Ideally managed a small team
Ideally has experience working in industry/corporate, research institute, higher education or government agency
