  • Role Overview


Our client is seeking a proactive Coordinator for IT Service Operations with a problem-solving attitude, and a commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction and service efficiency while driving quality enhancements.

This position is business-oriented and reports to the Manager of Information & Records, responsible for overseeing IT Service Operations and the IT Service Desk.

The coordinator must be available to provide support from 7:30am to 5:30pm.

As a central point of contact and escalation for IT incidents and service requisitions, change requisitions, major incidents management, and root cause analysis implementation.


Key Responsibilities
Oversee service requests to ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient resolution of end-user problems:

  • Design, build, and enhance ITSM tools for effective reporting, trend identification, and issue resolution.
  • Supervise incidents and changes in IT system production environments.
  • Maintain the Department's information security management controls for service operations consistently;
  • Assess and enhance existing IT service operation processes and management reporting.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated solid background in IT service operations with IT service desk exposure.
  • Proven experience in managing and reporting service desk requests, incidents, issues, and changes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on customer service, diligence, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to offering top-notch client service.
  • Strong written communication skills, including crafting key documents to support IT service operation processes (e.g., user manuals, technical instructions, web content, incident alerts, and cross-department notifications).
  • Proficiency in ITIL service operation principles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of occupational safety, health, equality, and diversity principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid "C" class driver's license within Western Australia; and willingness to travel within the state using various modes of transportation.
  • Experience in supporting 24/7/52 IT services for a geographically dispersed organization.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC27000 series Information Security Management System (ISMS) controls.
