As a Support Worker you will be responsible for supporting people in their every-day lives, ensuring that they have maximum opportunity to develop valued lifestyles, providing opportunities for choice, control, self-advocacy and becoming a valued member of the community.

In this role, working under the direction of a Team Leader, your day will involve:


  • Building and maintaining trusting and meaningful working relationships with people we support, their circle of support and the community.
  • Facilitating community inclusion and participation; supporting people to build and maintain relationships and interests through access to community activities, venues and services.
  • Encouraging positive and socially appropriate behaviour, and effectively manage any challenging behaviours.
  • Providing personal support, personal care, and transportation where required, in accordance with an individual's personal plan.
To be successful in this role, any previous experience assisting others who live with disability is a strength.
This includes previous professional or lived experience.

The casual rate of pay for this role sits at the SCHADS award level 2 rate of pay. On a casual basis this equates to $ % Super + Salary Sacrifice + any applicable shift allowances.
