We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Hydraulic/Mechanical Fitter to join our skilled workshop team based in Noble Park.


This role will see you completing a full range of hands-on activities such as repairs, installations, maintenance, testing, modifications, diagnosis of issues and optimisation of performance in order to service customer equipment in line with company standards, policies and procedures.

Predominately this will take place on the service of various Hi-Rail transport equipment.

Primarily based in our Noble Park workshop, this role has an occasional requirement to work on the customer's premises from time to time.


About You

  • Relevant trade qualifications (ie Diesel, Mechanical or Hydraulic Fitter)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of hydraulic fault finding, servicing/repair and testing/commissioning procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics together with sound service report writing capabilities
  • Hydraulic hose manufacturing
  • Basic understanding of transport equipment. ie cranes, tippers, tail lifts
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring
  • Mig welding (Advantageous)
  • Fabrication skills (Advantageous)
  • Effective communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and autonomously
  • Valid drivers licence and demonstrated safety first mindset
