We have a great opportunity for an Area Office Supervisor to join our local leadership team and provide support and direction to the clerical team members in the Inner Brisbane North cluster.


Reporting to the Area Chief Tech, you will be providing operational leadership, overseeing general administrative duties across the clinics and enabling local reception teams to deliver high quality, efficient, professional, and friendly services to patients, customers, referrers, and the community.

As the Area Office Supervisor, you will provide hands on support and guidance to the Office Supervisors and clerical employees across a network of clinics.

Responsibilities include reception team rostering, leave management and sick calls, new starter training planning, staff meeting coordination, team building and culture development, performance management, general problem solving and process management.

Travel to all clinics in the Area will be required in the role.

Key accountabilities include

  • Plan and manage daily clerical staff workforce requirements in the clinics and Area through appropriate staff rostering, annual leave planning & sick and other leave as required
  • Providing staff coaching to promote excellent customer service and patient care standards
  • Oversee and provide support to complex bookings team for the region
  • Work closely with Regional Manager, Area Chief Tech, Chief Techs and Office Supervisors to facilitate and maintain strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers
  • Oversee daily clinic appointment schedules across the Area to standardise and maximise service availability and business performance
  • Monitor and support key processes in each clinic, including but not limited to billing accuracy, and appointment management
  • Provide and support clerical staff with ongoing and regular feedback, mentoring and coaching
To be successful in this role you will have

  • Ability to manage, coach and lead clerical staff
  • Ability to lead and drive the I-MED patient care and customer service standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and other medical and nonmedical personnel verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands effectively
  • Excellent planning and problemsolving abilities
  • Medical Imaging Assistant (Essential)
