Located one street back from Circular Quay, among the cobblestone laneways of The Rocks district in a heritage building dating back to 1926 you will find the delightful Sydney Harbour Hotel.

Offering a relaxed restaurant, lobby bar and a location that offers a quintessential Sydney experience.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Night Manager for Sydney Habour Hotel.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you understand how important our guest services are and will be confident to acknowledge the challenges that can occur in a hotel environment at night.

You will work effectively in a small team and be the type of person who thrives in a leadership position that is varied and self-accountable.


The Opportunity

  • Efficiently auditing the current day trading transactions to ensure that they are properly balanced and posted whilst anticipating and exceeding guest needs immediately as they occur during the night.
  • Accurately identifying when discrepancies arise within the daily reports and assisting with the required system backup and maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Ensuring security is upheld throughout the hotel on a nightly basis, including security walks and scanning each checkpoint throughout the hotel.

Your talents will include:


A love of crunching numbers and an eye for detail, you will have a knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to work with Opera along with a general understanding of hotel operations.

A personality to rival any sunrise, you will lead by example and make decisions effectively.

You are able to balance the requirements of night shifts and are seeking a permanent contract across a 5 night Roster.
