The
Group Treasury Business Partnering and Balance Sheet Management team is responsible for maintaining a strong and efficient balance sheet.
Group Treasury , to deliver the CBA purpose by:
- Enabling effective communication and partnering with business units, support functions and the broader Group Treasury team, to support balance sheet strategy and objectives
- Analysing internal and external dynamics (including money supply) to drive balance sheet optimisation
- Supporting strategic development and effective management of the Group's balance sheet
- Formulating strategy, policy and guidance to optimise the Group's management of capital, funding, liquidity and interest rate risk
Do work that matters
This role reports to the General Manager, Business Partnering and Transfer Pricing to support the team and Group Treasury to optimise the Group's balance sheet, through identifying and leading delivery of balance sheet management initiatives.
Your role will have exposure to a wide range of stakeholders including senior members of Group Treasury, Business Units, Finance and Risk Management.
Your responsibilities
This role is wide reaching and not prescriptive in every sense. Discretion and sound judgment is critically important.
The role includes, but is not limited, to the following:
- Build strong relationships as an advisor and partner with Business Units
- Identify and lead balance sheet management initiatives and drive clear focus on balance sheet efficiency, aligned with business strategy where possible. This includes the provision of strategic advice to business units to manage and improve balance sheet performance
- Translate macro and micro
- Responsibility for the Replicating Portfolio methodology and recommendations, including engagement with key stakeholders across Product, Finance, Risk Management and Group Treasury
- Lead a team of approximately 5 people and to achieve outcomes and build strong relationships within Treasury and across the Group
- Assisting the broader Business Partnering and Transfer Pricing team and Group Treasury drive efficient management of the Group's balance sheet
We're interested in hearing from people who have**- Tertiary Qualifications - hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or an equivalent business-related discipline
- Minimum 10 years' financial services experience in a high performing environment within Treasury, Risk, Finance or Product
- Excellent business acumen and communication skills and experience with managing senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Strong people management skills with ability to develop and motivate a high performing team
- Strong business partnering skills with a proven track record in collaborating, influencing and driving positive outcomes with key stakeholders
