  • 25May2023Are you a highly skilled Risk Manager with a passion for challenging projects and a commitment to sustainability? Join the groundbreaking rare earth's project as a Risk Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of green technology.

In this leadership role you will bring extensive experience in EPC/Construction to the forefront, taking charge of all aspects of project risk management and providing vital support for Project Governance.

Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our client's project by independently building schedule and cost risk models, conducting thorough risk analyses, and maintaining a comprehensive risk register with pre and post-mitigated risk ratings.


Key accountabilities:

  • Proactive leadership, management and guidance on identifying, evaluating and defining emerging project risks (including threats and opportunities) on the Project.
  • Ownership and manage the Risk Management Plan (RMP) for the Project.
  • Manage and maintain the Risk Management System and risk management software on the Project.
  • Manage and maintain the project risk register for the Project.
  • Lead and facilitate Risk and Opportunity (R&O) workshops for the ongoing life of the Project.
  • Identify and manage control and mitigation plans for threats and opportunities.
  • Identify and manage risk actions and close out risk actions on the Project.
  • Report on overall risk and opportunity position on the project on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in undertaking cost and schedule risk analysis on quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate and liaise with key project stakeholders including senior leadership, design engineers, engineering and construction teams, project controls team, planning team and commercial team.
  • Present risk management outcomes to stakeholders including the client, senior leadership, construction and commercial teams.
  • Provide risk management input into continuous improvement activities, lessons learned and Project initiatives.

Experience Required:

  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and display negotiation and communication skills on complex issues. Ability to engage senior executives at all levels and other stakeholders.
  • Managing complex budgets and financial reporting.
  • Ability to run Quantitative Risk Analysis, to construct robust cost risk models and conduct comprehensive cost risk analyses.
  • Tertiary qualified in Risk Management, Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Commerce / Business, Law
  • Previous Risk Management roles in a project, construction or consulting context. CPRM certified with Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or equivalent would be highly regarded.
