About the role:


Due to our continued growth, Knauf is seeking for a highly experienced & passionate
Continuous Improvement Manager to drive our CI vision company wide.

Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, you will lead the development of continuous improvement throughout all Knauf Australia activities, predominantly based in our major manufacturing sites in
Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.


You will also aim to ensure best performance by improving processes and implementing standardization as well as striving to have a high performing culture in all key areas of the business while providing specialized support to the manufacturing plants to improve performance, driven by business needs.


A part of your role will also require you to ensure that Continuous Improvement activities are supporting the engagement and empowerment of our employees.

In addition to facilitating improvement activities with teams, this role will provide/support CI training activities that ensure that team skills are enhanced when it comes to developmental and process skills.

This role will ideally be based out of our manufacturing site in
Pinkenba, Brisbane, although applicants from
Sydney and
Melbourne may also be considered
.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the Continuous Improvement / Lean transformation plan through the organization by implementing Employee Engagement programs, TPM, 5S, VPM, Statistical Process Control and RCA
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement Workshops: learning by doing & Kaizen events with crossfunctional teams
  • Communicate lessons learned and best practices from improvement projects as well as standardize good practices and share them across the Australian business
  • Prepare and participate to the Continuous Improvement Assessment as well as Develop and Assess Skills
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or related field of study
  • Qualification in Lean Continuous Improvement
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with tangible evidence of process improvement during this period
  • Demonstrable use of Continuous Improvement tools that are preferably aligned with Six Sigma Techniques
  • Strong communication both verbally and written and comfortable in presenting and influencing key stakeholders
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships across all departments and levels within the organization
  • A leadership and communication style that motivates and engages both individuals and teams
  • Experience in involving employees in process improvement workshops, etc
