As the IT Systems Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our architecture and IT.

You will also be responsible for team / people management within the Technical Team and will collaborate directly with both technical and business owners to come to key decisions that ensure development initiatives are aligned with business objectives.


This is a remote role based anywhere in the Australia. You will be presented with plenty of opportunities for development and training and the chance to be a part of a global company.

You will be responsible for the following areas:
Architecture

  • Oversee, manage and optimise the overall technical architecture of the platform, including the hosting environments, mySQL database, Wordpress, custom development and interfaces with Google, AWS and Salesforce.
  • Provide guidance, direction and management of future platform architecture
Infrastructure, Support and Security Management

  • Manage the components of the infrastructure that make up the platform including the hosting environments, firewall, AWS
  • Manage the backup strategy and ensure that the platform and infrastructure is secure
  • Manage data privacy and data protection requirements of our customer data
  • Manage the uptime of the live environment and resolve any service interruptions
  • Act as the escalation point, to assist in finding appropriate solutions
Platform Development

  • Oversee and manage the development and testing environments and processes including version control repositories
  • Perform peer code review and contribute in constantly improving the development process
  • Oversee ongoing development and maintenance of the Focus On Force wordpress site; this includes Wordpress development, plugin management, site customizations, page optimizations
  • Oversee and provide direction on integrations of the platform and other systems including Salesforce, AWS, Google, payment processor
Technical Management

  • Work closely with project managers, product managers, and business stakeholders in gathering requirements, specifications, and use cases for designated projects.
  • Manage the Technical Team, overseeing the overall deliverables and ensuring highperformance
  • Work with the scrum master to manage Sprint planning sessions and lead the team using Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
  • Resolve conflicts and issues within the team
  • Foster a transparent and collaborative environment within the Technical Team and throughout the entire organisation
  • Track, report, and evaluate key Technical Team and platform KPIs

Requirements:


  • 3+ years of experience managing a technical team or a web development team. WordPress and WordPress plugins such as Woocommerce and Learndash
  • Experience developing and managing an end to end platform architecture that includes wordpress and integrated components including AWS
  • Cloud computing and API integration experience (AWS preferred)
  • Salesforce and Salesforce API integration experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in working with crossfunctional teams
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and lateral thinking skills
