The Role

To assist in ensuring the branch is compliant with legislative and OH&S requirements, and that internal and external audits requirements are met.

To assist in ensuring the branch is compliant with the food safety program across the distribution centre and associated locations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Asisst in ensuring the HACCP (Food Safety Program), quality and food safety requirements are actioned within the standard and timelines required.
  • Assist in ensuring the Branch is ready for HACCP Audits in terms of agreed standards and paperwork requirements.
  • Conduct on site audits / desktop audits as required.
  • Comply with relevant WHS & Workers Compensation Queensland requirements.
  • Assist with investigation of incidents and potential sources of harm to determine causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Assist in the implementation of controls that are aimed at eliminating or minimising risks likely to cause serious harm.
  • Administration tasks relating to employee training records, food safety and OHS requirements.

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, OH&S regulations and cold storage principles.
  • Strong ability to collaborate cross functionally.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience in using hazard and incident reporting systems.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional disposition.
  • Work and aid HR Department as directed.
  • Work and aid OH&S Department as directed.
