Job Summary
The key responsibility of the role will be managing the connection of Fixed products for SoHo/Micro customers. This can take many different forms, and each day is different from the rest.

There is a high degree of problem solving & critical thinking required for the role, and someone who is a quick learner of internal systems will be at a distinct advantage.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Answer incoming & outbound fixed customer enquiries promptly, competently and professionally
  • Identify opportunities to tailor promotion towards customer selfserve & refer to online channels to instil customer selfserve behaviour
  • Provide a differentiated level of On Boarding experience and churn threat customers
  • Having the ability to understand customers product offerings and underlying needs therefore providing the appropriate tailored solutions
  • Demonstrate flexibility with customers, using highly developed negotiation skills to address their issue / query within boundaries of products and empowerment level.
  • Resolve customer complaints within specified timeframes and ensure commitments are followed through to resolution
  • Ensure all customer contact is accurately recorded in the appropriate systems/ databases to assist with future contact or followup

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the Optus Products
  • Professional/technical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly absorb new information and support new products
  • Competent performance rating for current Optus employees
  • Ability to build customer loyalty by providing a high level of customer service
  • Proven ability to manage stress in a high volume work environment
