The roleIn the role of Program Support Officer, you will provide secretariat assistance and program support to the Investment Assurance Committee.

This role requires you to work with limited supervision in a specialist team and requires you to liaise with and build productive relationships with stakeholders across the Department and Hospital and Health Services regarding infrastructure projects.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Support senior staff participation in briefings, meetings and forums by coordinating their briefing material and ensuring all relevant information and documentation is prepared as required.
  • Manage confidential coordination of the Investment Assurance Committee (IAC) and provide secretariat support including meeting forward program and meeting agendas, dissemination of papers, briefing notes, minutes and meeting logistics.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and submissions to stakeholders in line with an established correspondence policies and processes and ensuring timely responses.
  • Develop, maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholder networks and facilitate effective communications for the purpose of achieving branch objectives.

The successful personYou will have:


  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with sensitive issues and people at all levels.
  • Experience providing secretariat support for executive committees
  • Able to work autonomously and as a team member to prioritise work and achieve outcomes, especially when under pressure and with competing priorities.
