Who are we looking for?
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Student Enquiries Communications Officer to join Marketing and Communication, Chancellery Division.


The Student Enquiries Communication officer is responsible for providing timely and personalised responses to enquiries from prospective international students as well as preparing content for marketing automation activities targeted at prospective international students.

About the Chancellery Division

Chancellery Division is responsible for strategy, including Indigenous strategy, government relations and policy, assurance and risk, international, marketing and communications, and business development.

The Chancellery Division is led by the Vice-Chancellor and President.


About Marketing and Communication

The Marketing and Communication Department is responsible for:

  • Building and protecting QUT's brand and reputation
  • Engaging and recruiting future students
  • Ensuring communications from QUT are effective and of high professional standard.


As well as professional services provided to the university community, the Department is responsible for a variety of corporate communication functions and oversees relevant policies, protocols and governance arrangements.


What you need to succeed

You will demonstrate:

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree in marketing/communications, digital and print communication, publishing or a related discipline with subsequent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact effectively and form working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • High level of digital literacy including the ability to navigate multiple complex information systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to answer, escalate, prioritise and redirect enquiries as necessary, with mínimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing marketing content for websites, electronic direct mail (EDM) and advertising.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret policies, procedures and student information to provide advice.
  • Demonstrated client service skills in high volume environment, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under broad direction, exercise initiative in undertaking responsibilities and work effectively as a team member.
