The Purpose:


As Product Management Lead you will be responsible for the strategy, management and optimisation of certain products and services within the Business Payments product portfolio, with a specific focus on BPAY, PayID and the development of a new Confirmation of Payee service.

Over time, product responsibilities may change or expand according to the needs of the team.


As the business owner for the products/services within your portfolio you are responsible for developing action plans and identifying key initiatives to drive adoption and take up of the products/services and identifying opportunities for optimising performance and product enhancements.


This is what you'd be required to do:

  • Execute on an agreed set of priorities for BPAY including identifying portfolio opportunities, operational process improvements and potential changes to product pricing
  • Focus on opportunities to drive take up and adoption of PayID and have business ownership for the development of the Confirmation of Payee service
  • Be accountable for execution of strategies, action plans and key performance metrics for products under your responsibility, in close consultation with AP+ members
  • Identify new product enhancements, including process improvements, to support the future growth and adoption of the relevant products and services
  • Work with the AP+ Marketing team on product marketing plans and initiatives
  • Work with AP+ Technology team to deliver on key product enhancements and operational improvements

We'd love to hear from you if you have;

  • Robust experience in product management/product strategy/ stakeholder management roles within the payments industry
  • Specific payments knowledge and experience including technical understanding, and ideally encompassing corporate and B2B payments. Knowledge of bank receivables products would be an advantage
  • Experience in analysing product/marketing data and customer insights
  • Demonstrated experience analysing and interpreting product, market and financial information including ability to understand commercial and pricing models, and make factbased decisions
  • Excellent team collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly written (presentations, articles, marketing collateral etc.)
  • Ability to translate strategy into operational and tactical activities, assess progress and adapt tactics and plans accordingly
  • Proactively solve problems to effect change, make informed decisions and take responsibility
  • Strong business acumen commercial, pricing, competitor analysis
