WGBW is one of the nation's largest independent collision repairers with 10 state-of-the-art facilities located in Melbourne, Geelong, Newcastle, and the Gold Coast.
The Business operates through five core services: collision repairs; towing services; hire cars; auto electrical and mechanical; and windscreen repairs and replacement.
About the Position
Western General Bodyworks Group is excited to share this new opportunity to join our team, as an HR/Payroll Officer at our HQ based in Footscray VIC.
Key Responsibilities (but are not limited to):
- End-to-end processing of the fortnightly employee payroll, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and timely
- HR administration tasks
- Document and maintain HR benefits for the organization.
- Responsible for the central document control system of HR.
- Maintain payroll records for existing employees as well as process new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments
- Facilitate the recruitment process and administer employee contracts
- Reviewing, updating, and creating company policies and procedures
- Assist in the development and implementation of specific resources such as HR templates, internal processes/process maps, forms, and checklists.
- Process Single Touch Payroll and Superannuation lodgements and payments
- Assisting employees with any payrollrelated queries or issues
- Production and Review of Payroll/EOM/EOFY reports
- Support process improvements to drive payroll efficiency
What you will need to be successful:
- MS Excel (intermediate)
- Understanding of accounting principles and standards
- Ability to use accounting software such as Xero
- Ability to problem solve and looks for solutions
- Proven and relevant experience in HR and Payroll
- Experience processing statutory payments
- Previous experience with onboarding and employee contracts
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
