Description
One of Australia's leading tile manufacturers is looking for an experienced fitter for their Wacol Plant.


The Fitter's principal purpose is to ensure that the required amount of scheduled product is manufactured to the approved specifications as efficiently and as safely as possible.


Key Success
Factors The key success factors for the Fitter includes:

  • Keeping plant maintenance up to date
  • Keeping plant running efficiently
  • Keeping all heads to specifications
  • Knives are set and profiled
  • Quick changeovers

Key Tasks
Tasks that the Fitter needs to be able to do to be able to achieve listed key success factors include:

  • Making sure all heads are to specifications
  • Helping out with stops throughout factory
  • Tending to all major stops
  • Keeping up with maintenance schedule
  • Have the ability to know how all parts of plant run and how to problem solve issues
  • Trade qualified maintenance fitter.
  • Electrical licence in conjunction with fitter would be held in high regard.
  • Current forklift licence preferred but not required.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • Available for immediate start.

Job Type:
Casual


Salary:
Up to $55.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Wacol, QLD 4076: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Fitter: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Forklift Licence (preferred)
  • Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (required)
Expected Start Date: 20/03/2023
