ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

THDC has a range of casual opportunities for Disability Support Workers in the Green Valley area.


The Disability Support Worker will contribute to the effective day to day running of support services aimed at maximising the living, employment, social and recreational skills of people with a disability and ensuring a quality service.

Community inclusion, independence, decision making, and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs.


We support participants with low, moderate, and high support needs with a physical and or Mental Health diagnosis & across all identified disabilities, from all backgrounds, in single and multiple programs.


Your role will involve supporting clients with complex mental health and clinical needs in the areas of personal care, medication administration, mealtime management, domestic duties, mobility assistance, and community participation.

- must be available for morning shifts

  • Certificate III or above in Disability
  • At least 1year experience in the industry
  • Genuine desire to provide the best quality support for people with disabilities
  • Written, oral communication and interpersonal skills, including effectively communicating with Participants and team members from a diverse range of backgrounds and groups.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Adhering to privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite particularly MS Word and MS Outlook

What you need:


  • A cleared Working with Children Check and/or blue card
  • A cleared NDIS Worker Screening Check and/or yellow card
  • A cleared current National Police Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Australian Drivers Licence
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
