Our City Spaces contribute to the City of Sydney's vision for a socially just and inclusive city by providing the community with access to a variety of public facing Community Centres and Venues for hire, as well as a range of other community buildings used for a diverse range of programs and activities.

The Community Spaces Project Coordinator position is responsible for facilitating the use of community buildings by a range of community organisations, as well as supporting existing community tenants who operate from City of Sydney properties.


We are seeking a highly motivated person with existing or transferrable experience and skills, interested in working in a high paced, challenging environment across Council teams and with external stakeholders to lead on this area of work.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated experience or tertiary qualifications in relevant disciplines, including in community development, social impact and / or management or community property managementDemonstrated experience in managing relationships, contracts or agreements with a diverse range of community organisations and stakeholders, social enterprises or similar in a government or complex organisational contextHighly developed problem solving, time management and project delivery skills, including the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks and priorities

The role is mainly office based but does require attendance at Council properties on a regular basis.

The successful applicant is required to complete a pre-employment health declaration and National Criminal check.
